Final Call for Poster Submissions, Participation Opportunities for Students and Early Career Professionals & Season’s Greetings

Last call for poster submissions (by December 22)

The PASC24 Posters Program Committee is pleased to remind you of the upcoming deadline for poster submissions.

We welcome submissions describing topical research related to scientific computing in the following domains:

  • Chemistry and Materials (incl. ceramics, metals, and polymers)
  • Climate, Weather, and Earth Sciences (incl. solid earth dynamics)
  • Applied Social Sciences and Humanities (incl. behavioral, economic, legal, political and business sciences, philosophy, languages, the arts, ethics in computing including climate impact of HPC, biases in machine learning, etc.)
  • Engineering (incl. CFD, computational mechanics, computational engineering and materials, turbulent flow)
  • Life Sciences (incl. biophysics, genomics, bioinformatics, systems biology, neuroscience, and computational biology)
  • Physics (incl. astrophysics, cosmology, plasma modelling, and quantum information sciences)
  • Computational Methods and Applied Mathematics

Poster presentations provide an ideal opportunity for the exchange of ideas and expertise within and between the various computational science domains represented at the conference.

Posters that emphasize the theme of PASC24Synthesizing Applications Through Learning and Computing – are particularly welcome.

Authors whose posters are selected for presentation at PASC24 will be invited to “pitch” their posters in a rapid-fire flash session before the scheduled poster session. Posters with the most interesting content will be recognized in the award ceremony on the final day of the conference.

Note that in order to present your poster, you will have to attend the conference in-person.

  • 22 December 2023: Deadline for poster abstracts
  • 08 March 2024: Decision notifications
  • 10 April 2024: Deadline for submission of poster image (PDF)

Student travel grants

We are pleased to announce that SIGHPC will sponsor four travel grants to enable undergraduate or graduate students to attend the event. In addition to the travel assistance, PASC24 will cover the corresponding registration fees.

We are also pleased to announce that SIGHPC will sponsor four travel grants addressed to early career professionals who meet SIGHPC requirements.

Student Volunteer Program

If you are an undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral student in Computational Science, HPC, or related fields and you enjoy working in a dynamic and enthusiastic team, don’t miss the chance to experience the conference as a volunteer for PASC24. If you are selected as a volunteer for PASC24 you will receive complimentary conference registration.
