PASC22 – Call for Poster Submissions, Sponsorship Opportunities & Season’s Greetings

Call for poster submissions (by January 19)

PASC22 is pleased to remind you that submissions for poster contributions are still open.

PASC22 brings together researchers from different disciplines to learn about each other’s scientific computing methods, tools and results, to inspire new ideas and build new interdisciplinary collaborations.

Poster presentations provide an ideal opportunity for the exchange of ideas and expertise within and between the various computational science domains represented at the conference.

Poster submissions should describe topical research related to scientific computing in the following domains:

  • Chemistry and Materials
  • Climate, Weather and Earth Sciences (incl. Solid Earth Dynamics)
  • Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
  • Engineering (incl. but not limited to CFD, computational mechanics, computational engineering materials, turbulent flow, …)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences (incl. but not limited to behavioral, economic, legal, political and business sciences, philosophy, languages and the arts)
  • Life Sciences (incl. but not limited to biophysics, genomics, bioinformatics, systems biology, neuroscience and computational biology, …)
  • Physics (incl. but not limited to astrophysics, cosmology, plasma modelling, QCD)

Posters that address aspects emphasizing the Challenge of PASC22 – “Computing and Data… for all Humankind” – and the affiliated topics “Computing for Planet Earth,” “Data Science and Inequality,” and “Epidemiology and Public Health” are particularly welcome.

Authors whose posters are selected for presentation at PASC22 will be given the possibility to “pitch” their posters to the conference audience in a rapid-fire flash session before the scheduled poster session. Posters with the most stimulating content will be recognized in anaward ceremony on the final day of the conference.

Please check the Guidelines for Posters for further information.

We look forward to receiving your submissions!

Conference format: hybrid

We very much hope that PASC22 will provide an opportunity to finally meet all participants in person at the Congress Center Basel, in Basel, Switzerland, and we are discussing the infrastructure to ensure that all health regulations are met in view of mitigating the risks of a contamination and creating a relaxing environment for attendees.

In-person participation at the conference is preferred and encouraged; however, we understand that travel restrictions and personal circumstances might limit the ability of some attendees to join us in Basel, and will thus offer also participation opportunities for digital attendees.

All presenters – whether attending in person or digitally – should be prepared to present their work between 9:00 and 18:00 in the Central European Summer Time Zone depending on the timeslot that will be assigned to them.

Further information on the plans for the PASC22 Conference format in the current COVID-19 situation is available on the conference website at the following page.

Sponsorship packages available for PASC22

The PASC22 Organizing Team is pleased to invite organizations from industry and academia to take advantage of a range of sponsorship opportunities for PASC22 that are suitable for a hybrid format of the event.

PASC22 – to be held at the Congress Center Basel, Switzerland, from June 27 to 29, 2022 – offers a great chance for organizations to gain visibility at an international level, to network with key leaders in the fields of HPC, simulation and data science, and to showcase research and development.

The conference provides a global platform for participants from academia, research labs and industry to discuss the state-of-the-art in high performance computing simulation and data science. PASC22 brings together researchers from diverse scientific fields including Climate, Weather and Earth Sciences; Chemistry and Materials; Computer Science and Applied Mathematics; Humanities and Social Sciences; Engineering; Life Sciences; and Physics. The conference builds on a successful history – with 477 attendees from 28 countries in 2021 – and continues to expand its program and international profile year on year.
