Peter Kunszt of ETH Zurich and Sergio Maffioletti of  University of Zurich invite you to join  the

Academic Compute Cloud Experience Workshop, April 29th 2013

to be held at ETH Zurich.

The speakers will be reporting on their experiences in building and operating an academic private cloud infrastructure.

Topics include:

  • Setting up our own Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Cloud
  • Choosing and installing a Cloud middleware stack, experience with OpenStack and HP CloudSystem Matrix
  • Running applications, solving real research problems on our Cloud comparing it with other infrastructures
  • Business models of operating a cloud in the academic environment

The workshop marks the end of the AAA-SWITCH funded project called Academic Compute Cloud Provisioning and Usage. The project partners are the ETH, the University of Zürich and SWITCH.
