The University of Basel, SIB and HPC-UGent (B) are organising a workshop on EasyBuild and Environment Modules (Lmod), with key contributors from Europe and USA.. EasyBuild and Lmod workshop: Mon 9 – Wed 11 February 2015
The aim of the workshop is to learn, share information about and practice the EasyBuild software management tool, as a key component in the management of high-performance computing infrastructures. Lmod, as the “user view” on software access will also be dicussed, as well as XALT, a lightweight job, executable and library tracker.
The general outline of the workshop is as follows:
- Day 1 : Introduction to EasyBuild and Lmod, site presentations by UGent/JSC/VBC, discussions
- Day 2 : Practical workshop (using EasyBuild and Lmod, introduction to XALT)
- Day 3 : Practical workshop (enhancing/extending EasyBuild)
