End-of-Year Wrap-Up 2025
As we head into the winter break, we’d like to take a moment to look back at what we achieved together in 2025. Thank you for your continued engagement and collaboration throughout the year.
Reflecting on 2025
In 2025, we came together to exchange expertise, address common challenges, and strengthen our community through two key events:
- hpc-ch forum on HPC Workflows and Batch Systems, May 15, 2025 hosted by ETH Zurich, followed by a community dinner
- hpc-ch forum on Financial Aspects of HPC, October 10, 2025 hosted by ZHAW, also accompanied by a community dinner
Looking Ahead to 2026
The coming year will bring new opportunities for learning, collaboration, and exchange. Please mark your calendars for the following events:
- hpc-ch forum on Improving Access to HPC, May 7, 2026 hosted by EPFL
- hpc-ch forum on User Workflows and Support, October 29, 2026 hosted by Agroscope
A heartfelt thank you in advance to the hosting organizations for welcoming us!
A Fond Farewell and Warm Welcome
As we enter 2026, we mark important transitions within the hpc-ch community. Two long-standing members, Christian Bolliger (ETH Zurich) and Christoph Witzig (SWITCH), are retiring after many years of dedicated involvement and valuable contributions to our network.
We extend our sincere thanks to both Christian and Christoph for their commitment, expertise, and engagement throughout their time with hpc-ch. We are pleased to welcome them as honorary members of the community and wish them all the best in their retirement.
At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Derek Feichtinger (PSI) and Ewan Roche (Agroscope), who will join Maria Grazia Giuffreda (CSCS) as the new hpc-ch coordinators. We look forward to their leadership and to continued collaboration within the community.
Thank You
Thank you for your engagement and support throughout the year. We look forward to continuing our work together in 2026.
We wish you a pleasant end of the year and a restful break.
