Video: NOAA Science On a Sphere visualization at SC11

Posted on November 17, 2011 by mdl in hpc-ch Booth, Science, Video Blog

NOAA is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the USA and is present at SC11 with a large booth.  We were very impressed by their NOAA Science On a Sphere exhibit: a big suspended sphere  on which changing  information regarding the Earth are projected: e.g. the actual weather, the weather forecasts or the location of earthquakes .

We asked Elizabeth Russel of the University of Colorado at Boulder to present us the NOAA Science On a Sphere project.
