At the 41st SPEEDUP Workshop, Joost van de Vondele gave a presentation on “Sparse matrix matrix multiplication for linear scaling DFT”. Joost is an Assistant Professor of Nanoscale Simulation at ETH Zurich and is working in the development of modeling tools for nanoscale systems and solar cells. Previously he was Oberassistent at the University of Zurich (dye sensitized solar cells, radicals in solution, massively parallel DFT, large scale atomistic simulations and new methods for Hartree-Fock exchange).
